my new truck
the first truck i ever owned was a little blue toyota pickup also known as the shabbsmobile. it was sweet and it had a great little engine and, best of all, i owned 100% of it from the start. but i soon outgrew it and needed to upgrade. the dodge dakota quad cab 4x4 sport plus caught my eye when it first hit the market and i always knew i wanted one. so when the time was right, i was all in. i have never looked back. my only regret has been not getting the v8 engine. eh, i can always drop a hemi in it later.
decided to put some winter tires on this year. went with the conti 4x4 ice contact tires. size 265/70/R16. very highly rated, we'll see how they hold up. check 'em out:

i recently had some step bars put on my dakota. a very nice addition and my wife thanked me as it's now much easier for her to get into the cab. check out the pics of the truck with the tech tube step bars, as well as th eare lsii tonneau cover and some sweet tint:

i put up a wishlist for my truck listing all the things i'd like to add on to it over the years. if you're feeling generous, feel free to pick something up from the list.
i also put up a page about the fuel efficiency that i've been getting since i bought the truck. i will continue to update that page time permitting. it will be interesting to see the change when i put the hard tonneau cover on it - it should certainly improve the efficiency.
is that a totally sweet truck or what? yes.... yes it is. yahoo!
why another pickup? well, they are just so much more useful than a car. the only downside is that a truck can never get near the gas mileage that a car can get. but hey, if gas milage was my main concern, i'd buy one of those hybrid puppies but they are so ugly. you will never see me in one of those.
